Day 1 - Cochin

BACKWATERS

When you arrive at Cochin Airport, our representative would be there to welcome you & lodge you at the best hotel. Cochin is known as the “Queen of Arabian Sea” because of its natural , all-weather harbour, with serene backwaters, beautiful lagoons, etc.. Your afternoon tour would be visiting the Dutch Palace built by the Portuguese in 1557 ,susbsequntly renovated after 1663 and a backwater village tour riding through narrow canals,fishing farms etc.

Cherai Beach located 22km From Cochin Inter National Air Port and 40 kms from Ernakulam city (Kerala, India). The main attraction of Cherai is the ‘Poyil’ a large inland lake forming a part of the calm serene backwaters separated from the ocean by only a narrow sandbar. You will visit Jewish Synagogue. Jewish Synagogue built in 1568 and the oldest Synagogue in the Commonwealth is at mattancherry.

ST. FRANCIS CHURCH

From there we go to St. Francis Church which was originally named as Santo Antonio. It is the first church to have been built in the new European influenced style and tradition. The original wooden building of 1510 was soon replaced by the present building around 1546. Vasco da Gama died here in 1524.The Chinese Fishing Nets- introduced by the court of Kublai Khan can be seen in Fort Cochin, and at the end of the day back to the hotel, for overnight stay.

Day 2 - Munnar

BACKWATERS

The 2nd day morning after breakfast, we check out from the hotel and go to Munnar (175kms/4.00hrs). Munnar is 1800 mts above sea level and also the place of South India’s highest peak (Anamudi – 2695 mts). There are 14 peaks in the district which exceed a height of 2000 meters above M.S.L. Anamudi (Anamala) the highest peak south of Himalayas. The estimated height of the peak is 2817 meters.

Then in the afternoon we go for a short visit to Munnar town. You can see the beautiful tea estates like a green paradise, tea gardens spread like a green carpet over hundreds of kilometers, lust green hills earlier known as Kannan Devan Hills, and view a beauty beyond words .We end the day staying overnight at the Resort.

Day 3 - Munnar

NILGIRI THAR

We start our day after breakfast for a full day visit of Munnar. Eravikulam has a Wild Life National Park, and is the best place to find Nilgiri Thar (Hermitragus Hylcrious) – the mountain goat of South India.This National Park is the home to the largest population of Nilgiri Thar (a type of mountain goat) existing in the world now.A well known medicinal plant called ‘Neelakurinji’ is among the rarest species found here.

Next, we come to Mattupetty dam and Indoswiss cattle breed farm project which are the choices we have from these highlighted spots. We can open our packed lunch at the place of our choice and later proceed to visit the top station ,to witness the breath taking valley view. It could be a memorable day in of your lifetime with dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4 - Munnar/Thekkkady

WILDLIFE

We start our 4th day tour after breakfast,going to Thekkady(140kms/ 04.00hrs).The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, one of the largest wildlife reserves in India is located at Thekkady and occupies 777 sq.kms of the Cardamom Hills region of the Western Ghatts .The Periyar wildlife sanctuary,is a home to nomadic tribes of wild elephant, boar, deer, the great Indian tiger and more.

If interested, we can have a spice plantation tour. You could get the best spices available in Kerala from the various shops at Thekkady which are freshly packed from the spice gardens. An evening boat cruise at Periyar lake is memorable. We can watch the wild animals too. Ends up with an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5 - Alleppey

HOUSE BOAT

Alleppey (Alappuzha)district occupies a prominent place in the tourist map of Kerala interlockedwith lakes and canals. The Vembanad Lake stretching up to Kochi, the rivers Achankovil, Manimala and Pamba and a network of canals in the districtare used for inland navigation. On arrival, check into houseboat andspend the day at leisure.

Houseboat cruise is the best way to explore the beauty of backwaters. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Enjoy lunch,evening tea/coffee with snacks and dinner on it. Stay overnight in houseboat.Over Night stay at A/c House Boat.(If needed can arrange stay in hotel also).

Day 6 - Trivandrum

TRIVANDRUM CITY

We go to Trivandrum after breakfast. Trivandrum now known as Thiruvananthapuram(145 Kms/ 03.50hrs) is built on the hills, with wide-open spaces, sports stadium and low-lying paddy fields. Many important cultural institutions, universities and libraries are located here. The padmanabhaswamy temple, the imposing seven-storey tower makes it, by far the most impressive landmark around the city. Back to hotel for the night.

In the evening you can spend the full day at the world famous Kovalam beach.The most well kept beach of India. Kovalam means a grove of coconut trees and truly the coconut trees along the beaches gives it a ravishing look. Back to the hotel, for overnight stay.

Day 7 - Trivandrum

KUTHIRAMALIKA PALACE

Start our tour on 7th day after breakfast back into the city for sight seeing.We visit the Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple, Kuthiramalika palace (Horse Palace Museum).The museum and the annex form a part of the museum complex consisting of the Art and Natural History Museums. Veli lake village is provides an excellent atmosphere for relaxing. Kuthiramalika Palace was built by His Highness the Maharaja Swathi Thirunal Balarama Varma of Travancore.

Day 8 - Trivandrum (Departure)

TRIVANDRUM

After having our breakfast, we checkout from the hotel and time permitting we can have a short visit at Trivandrum city for independent activates and go back to Airport/ Railway station for departure.
